The Hoka Mafate X is built for the toughest conditions — and the toughest minds. To showcase that, we created a full-body endurance experience inside a large-scale diorama box, where runners could physically step into a surreal environment and put the shoe to test.

We hacked a treadmill and synced the runner’s speed with a virtual camera moving through a custom 3D Joshua Tree desert. I designed the environment and helped to build the technical system, creating a dynamic link between runner and terrain in real time.
